It's Derby Y'all! Join us with guest artist and painting instructor Mike Sexton as we create a large 16x20 Jockey Silk using your favorite pattern. Mike will guide us every step of the way to create a special painting you will want to display every year for the Most Exciting Two Minutes of Sports!

It's Derby Y'all! Join us in the studio as we create a one-of- a-kind Kentucky Derby painting with a jockey silk using acrylic paints. The outline of the jockey silk will be pre-drawn on the 16x20 canvas. Expert artist and teacher Mike Sexton will provide step-by-step instructions on how to paint, texturize, highlight and shadow your painting using your color choices and pattern. Whether you want to paint your favorite Derby winner's colors or showcase your personal style, this event is for all skill levels and sure to bring out your inner artist. We will provide all materials, some light refreshments, and plenty of Derby charm. This will be a relaxing evening perfect for couples, friends, and families in our beautiful downtown Ashland, Kentucky studio.
